Dopaminergic systems underlying forgetting in Drosophia
Why do we forget some things and remember others? In Drosophila, we have shown that dopamine is critical for both learning and forgetting and revealed some of the circuits, receptors, and mechanisms involved.

Dopamine gates circuit formation of cognitive map
“Where-to-go” decisions depends on a cognitive map, a mental representation of spatial environment, and a desire to achieve the goal. Here I will present the role of dopamine in gating the initial process of cognitive map formation and show the potential engagement of neuromodulation when forming circuits.
