Max Planck Florida Awarded Platinum Seal of Transparency

On February 1, the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid. Formerly known as Guidestar, Candid is the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. Used by millions of people each year, it advances nonprofit financial transparency by sharing information that helps donors and foundations make informed giving decisions. This rating puts the MPFI in the top 0.1% of charities nationally in terms of transparency.
The Platinum Seal indicates that MPFI shares clear and essential information with the public about our goals, strategies, capabilities, achievements, and progress indicators that highlight the difference the Institute’s neuroscience research and training programs make in the world. By updating our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile to earn a Platinum Seal, we can now easily share a wealth of up-to-date organizational information with you, as well as GuideStar’s immense online audience, which includes donors, grantmakers, our peers, and the media.
To reach the Platinum level, we’ve added extensive information to our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile: basic contact and organizational information; in-depth financial information; qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities; and quantitative information about results and progress toward our mission of curiosity-driven research and training. By taking the time to provide this information, we have demonstrated our commitment to transparency and giving donors and funders meaningful data to evaluate our performance.
The metrics we are reporting are a direct result of the generous funds donated to us. Without donor support from people like you, our mission of understanding brain functions and neural circuits would not be possible. We truly appreciate your support. To donate, please click here.
