Arani Roy
Bio
Arani joined MPFI in 2021 as Senior Research Associate. Working in the Fitzpatrick Lab, he has built a 3-photon microscope to record neuronal responses from deeper areas of the mammalian neocortex. Using novel optical and electrophysiological tools, Arani likes to investigate questions related to visual processing, cortical development, plasticity and neuronal excitability.
Education
B.Sc. in Chemistry, Presidency College, Calcutta, India.
M.Sc. in Biophysics and Molecular Biology, University of Calcutta, India.
Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Duke University, NC, USA.
